My Story
Hello and welcome, I am Betty-Jo the proud owner of Betty-Jo Interior Designs.
My passion is sharing my knowledge and experience with all of my clients. I love creating beautiful spaces for people to escape to, that have a soul and an environment that inspires. Interior design enhanced with intuition, logic and attention to detail. My purpose is once your project is completed and as you step into your new space, a content feeling of a beautiful balanced life is yours.
Putting my why into words provided a challenge, however I now feel the heartfelt explanation is here. For over a decade now I have worked on many projects, seeing thousands of dreams come to life. A natural ability to select products that resonated with my client’s individual style and complement their house design was what I put down to my attention to detail & years of experience across the building industry. A great realisation for me was when I discovered that I was working from my intuition. Being able to work from this high vibration is made possible by gaining confidence and experience in this field whilst practicing mindfulness and personal development daily.
The rural design tour I completed in 2018 was a pivotal point for me and one of my most rewarding experiences. After a breakthrough and life changing moment with one family in far North Queensland I had to share what had happened to a friend back home. In our conversation the light bulb went off and my purpose become clear. I told her “I want to create better lives, not just beautiful homes”. Since this trip I have noticed while giving advice and guidance to my clients through conversation, we both end up getting covered in goosebumps and I am often left thinking, did I just say that?
I have found myself making a bigger impact then I ever thought possible. Much deeper then redesigning their kitchens or selecting products for their dream homes. I want to encourage peace, love and harmony within the homes of all my clients. Their Homes, Businesses, Farms, Families & Relationships.
The reason for the design tour was to enhance my connection to the rural lifestyle and the love of country homes. I am lucky to own a beautiful Queenslander that was built by my great grandparents in the 1900’s. I can resonate with my clients living rurally myself and having spent my childhood growing up on the farm. I understand my client’s values, their lifestyle requirements and desire to have a home that they love. I now work on homes & businesses extending across the state of Queensland, and beyond.
In 2019 I completed a wellness room for a large organisation and began on a rural health retreat, incorporating interior design and Feng Shui. I enjoy bringing an intuitive element to the designs with my passion for helping people to create healthy, healing, supportive environments in which they can thrive. I envisage future clients in the wellness and retreat industry benefiting from what I deliver. I too love hosting workshops & retreats from my farm. Keep an eye out for what’s to unfold in the future.
People are often unaware of where the customer journey starts with an interior designer. Working at the intersection of design, construction and decorating I achieve clarity by connecting with my clients at the start of the process, right from creating or selecting the perfect floorplan. This allows crystal clear clarity on their vision and removes any constraints that certain building factors could play. My role throughout the project is not only to produce a schedule that complements my designs, but to also address any potential problems with a solution before it arises, guaranteeing the experience is enjoyable for my clients as well as the building team collectively.
If my message strongly resonates with you and you would like to partner with me in creating something special, I would love for you to contact me directly to discuss our options and packages. “You may get that feel, I was heaven sent”
